Why photography

As cliché as it might be, I have always wanted to be a National Geographic Photographer. I wanted to travel the world and capture the beauty of it while also experiencing different cultures and surrounds.

Instead, I pursued my niche to want to help people and has severed as a public servant for 10 years. As a public servant, I see the most ruthlessness and evil mankind is capable of and became lost after witnessing the death of a fellow partner.

I have since became a Wife to my soulmate and a Mother to the most amazing little boy and began to see the beauty in life again.

Within my 10 years of public servant duties, I became a bit blurred and began to ask myself, "what is beauty" and "what is passion"? I then picked up my camera that sat on my dresser collecting dust and began to photograph my newborn son. I cried for hours because at that moment I realized I completely buried myself in long work hours, risky jobs, near death experiences and having recalled times where I had to console people on the worst days of their life.

While on maternity leave, I told myself I would get back to photography. I will get back to reminding myself there is still good and beauty in the world . I want to capture great memories and the most precious moments of your life.

I want to capture memories for people to look back 50 years later while celebrating their anniversary and remind each other why they were destined to be life partners.

So you ask, why photography? I choose photography because it was always my passion.
